South Surrey Tutor

personalized, effective lesson plans.

After years of working in early learning centers, Jessica became frustrated at seeing teaching methods that weren't as effective as they could be. She realized that established institutions hesitated to innovate. So she decided to become a private tutor instead. She now teaches only the way she personally believes in.

To structure her lesson planning approach, she uses a method she learned while studying Early Childhood Education at Langara College.  It involves just a few core steps: Observe & Document, Analyze, Plan, Implement, and Reflect. It's helped her students pinpoint the exact challenges holding them back from reaching their next academic level.

Think of it like a metal detector searching for obstacles on the path — once the beeper goes off, she knows she’s found a roadblock, and she knows how to remove it.

Parents often express to her that out of all the tutors they've tried, she's the only one that has made a difference. So once they find her, they won't let her go.

“Our son had struggled with writing for years...Since starting with [Jessica], we’ve seen remarkable changes in our son’s writing. He’s more confident, able to come up with ideas easily, and writes more than he ever did before. Jessica’s approach is innovative, and she knows exactly how to keep him engaged. He’s now ready to face the challenges of high school writing... We’re grateful for her impact on our son and look forward to continuing with her throughout his high school years. Thank you, Jessica, for the positive influence you’ve had on our son’s development as a writer!”

"We have been working with Jessica since the summer [of] 2024. She is punctual, professional and polite. Our daughter enjoys her sessions with Jessica where they review and discuss writing and spelling. Jessica is always prepared for the sessions with a lesson plan. She takes notes, and thinks about what the next session should cover. She gets excited to share new and exciting lesson plans where learning and fun come together. We are thrilled to work with her!"

what's the method?

Jessica gathers data on her students' strengths, weaknesses, personalities, and learning styles each lesson.

She then tests new strategies to help them progress. If they work, great! If not, she moves on. She keeps what works, and tosses what doesn't.

The faster bad ideas are tossed, the quicker Jessica becomes a more effective tutor for each student.

Her method is risky, but it’s what sets her apart. Jessica is a tutor that dares to innovate, not stagnate.

She repeats this process every lesson. It’s time-consuming, but it works, producing top-quality results faster than anyone else.
