With a background in creative writing and journalism from UVic, I love helping K-12 students
master reading and writing skills. It’s rewarding to watch their skills improve over time before
my eyes. I also enjoy helping adults who are English Language Learners build their confidence in
speaking and comprehension. I can easily bridge gaps in understanding for Mandarin-speaking
students as I speak the language fluently. With all my students, I personalize my teaching
